"I joined Noonans in January of 2024, they came recommended to me by my physical therapist.
With no experience in resistance training, my goals were fairly straightforward - I wanted to become stronger, improve my balance, and improve my core strength.
Let me tell you, with no knowledge of what a kettlebell was or how to hold it, I knew my trainers had their work cut out for them!
By May of the same year I was becoming more confident in the gym and seeing improvement in my strength (I was finally slinging those 40# softener salt bags without tipping over!)
But then…I hurt my hamstring playing pickleball (go figure!)
In pain and scared to move, I was sure my training was over until my injury healed.
However, the coaches didn’t let me quit and reassured me that modifications could be made to my training to accommodate my injury.
My training program was rewritten. I continued my twice weekly one hour sessions and, as I healed, they modified my program to accommodate the restrictions and exercises prescribed by my PT.
I am convinced I recovered from that injury much quicker (and grew some great looking biceps!) because of the patience and encouragement of the NSS trainers and my Tuesday and Thursday work out buddies!"
